eXtreme Hobby Zone racers were revved up for another great day of R/C Monster Motorsports racing featuring the new Monstercross racing event. This was the fifth race event of six for the “In it to Win it II” Kenmore Grill give a way. With the threat of summertime thunder storms, the racers were competing with the clock, each other and the weather.
Race day started out with Sand Drags. New comer Brett Sullivan did a spectacular job driving his new T-Maxx into the first place spot in Small Block Sand Drags. Mike Weaver took the second place spot driving his Chevy bodied T-Maxx. David Cassista came in third place with his Traxxas Revo. Steve Cowles top qualified with a time of 1.261 seconds.

Jones and Macumber would re hook and pull the 45lbs. again. The second pull off would have Shannon Jones’s “Doc” truck taking the first place victory with a Full Pull. Brian’s Grim Reaper took the second place spot with a pull of 29’. Bradley Macumber came in third with a pull of 24’ @ 45lbs.

Small Block Monstercross had some very impressive driving from new comer Brett Sullivan. Sullivan advanced from the D-main all the way to the A-main, not without a fight and not without setting some track records along the way. Sullivan set track record in the D-main with a blistering time of 0:55.737 / 5 laps.
